Peanut Butter Sticky Rice began as an archive of our time in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  I and my husband Ken MacLean spent his sabbatical term in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with our children, Ascher, then age 8, and Camilla, then age 4.  Since our return Stateside, the blog has morphed into an occasional essay on food, children, random adventures, or some combination thereof, and is much neglected.

About me: Armed with a highly decorative Ph.D. in eighteenth-century British literature, I am Executive Director of ArtsWorcester in Worcester, MA.  I have also taught Burmese political dissidents, worked as an at-home mother, conducted research on women’s health and human rights, and recruited university presidents for an arts and humanities consortium. I am both a Life Member of Hadassah and a Daughter of the America Revolution (Colonel Timothy Bigelow Chapter).  I was raised on opera, have lived in eight cities, and make perfect lemon squares.
